The application context
The Boutique Hotel Stresa is a newly built luxury hotel overlooking the enchanting shores of Lake Maggiore. Before the renovation, the building was a historic villa, dating back 250 years, known as the Casa d'Oro. The project to transform the structure from a villa to a luxury hotel is attributed to the architect Augusto Guidini, who sought to combine modernity and innovation through the choice of technological solutions that did not excessively interfere with the building's characteristic historical features.
Application
Room operation
Among the new elements that distinguish the Boutique Hotel is the innovative operation of the rooms. Presence sensors installed in the rooms manage the start/stop of the temperature control system, through which efficient energy savings can be guaranteed. If the sensors detect no presence in the room, lights and loads are automatically switched off.
As far as the backlighting of the push-buttons is concerned, this remains active to a minimum, except for the bed heads.
Inside the room, Ekinex control panels control:
- DALI lighting (dimming) and ON/OFF
- Curtain motors (only in suites)
